Introduction to Drama

There will be an opportunity each week for participants to be introduced to a diverse range of artistic skills which will be related to an overall theme. Students will discover the world of drama through fun, fast-paced improvisation and games which will offer insights into what it takes to be an actor.
The workshops will investigate voice, speech, movement, improvisation, dance, mime and acting. Participants will be encouraged to explore various methods of working and to discover different ways to express themselves creatively. Through involvement in the conception of décors and costumes, participants will come to terms with creative processes and learn how these processes impact their lives and how they relate to the world of theatre around them.
The camp will centre on a new theme each week. The course will develop excellent life skills in an informal and fun environment. Although the teachers are bilingual, classes will be held in English and at the end of the week students will perform a small play.
Children will also have an opportunity each day to engage in other aspects of the camp.
